WANTED WOMAN TURNS GEORGETOWN ARREST INTO CHAOS
A routine arrest attempt in Georgetown exploded into chaos when officers confronted a wanted woman in her vehicle.
Bodycam footage shows the suspect sitting behind the wheel, refusing to comply with repeated commands. Instead of stepping out, she dug in and the situation spiraled out of control.
According to police, the woman was already facing several warrants. But when the officer tried to take her into custody, she resisted violently, shouting and allegedly striking out at the officer in the process.
The confrontation quickly drew attention from bystanders, some of whom described the incident as looking “like a scene straight out of a crime drama.” Backup was called, and after a tense struggle, officers were finally able to subdue her.
No serious injuries were reported, but the suspect now faces additional charges for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. Georgetown Police confirmed she is in custody, but emphasized how quickly a “simple arrest” can turn dangerous.
This case is still developing—and this was only Part 1 of the encounter.
