He reportedly hated Donald Trump even before a very public feud
Before Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, Trudeau spoke to town hall reporters, saying he didn’t agree with many of Trump’s controversial viewpoints, and this became very clear at the 2019 NATO Summit. At the time, Boris Johnson asked why an event had such a significant delay, and Trudeau threw shade on Trump, saying, “He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top.”
While he tried to save face from that comment, he started to grow more comfortable with disagreeing with Trump, and at a Halifax Chamber of Commerce event, pointed out the irony of Trump’s campaign being based on lowering prices for Americans. However, the proposed tariffs would only increase the cost of goods for Americans.
Fidel Castro might be Justin Trudeau’s real dad
Unconfirmed rumors suggest that Justin was Fidel Castro’s father. This assumption was proven false when it was revealed Margaret only traveled to Cuba when Justin was already four years old, and her celebrity status at the time wouldn’t have let her go incognito in the country. However, the rumors caused a stir when Fidel’s eldest son, who took his own life in 2018, referred to Justin in his suicide note as his half-brother.
Donald Trump wasn’t convinced, though—in his 2024 book, he said, “[Justin] swears that he isn’t but how the hell would he know! Castro had good hair, the ‘father’ didn’t; Justin has good hair and has become a Communist just like Castro.”
There were rumors he cheated on his wife
